Midnight Candy

Midnight Candy (Candy for short) is an off the track Thoroughbred mare in her mid 20s. A light bay beauty with highlights in her mane and tail, she stands 16.2 hands tall. Her favorite treats are apple wafers. Following a very brief time as a young racer, Candy was a champion A circuit hunter prior to becoming a successful eventer. A seasoned old schoolmaster known for her speed, strength, jumping technique, and big personality, she is a confident rider's dream. Candy currently resides at On Course Equestrian Services in Havre de Grace, Maryland. 

I first met Candy in June 2015, and we clicked instantly. In July 2015, I officially began leasing Candy and training with her under the guidance of my trainer, Karly Bowe, whom I began learning from in the beginning of 2015, shortly after my move to Maryland from Okinawa, Japan. I have no plans for how far I want to go, and there is no telling for sure how far Candy can take me. One thing I do know for sure, however, is that I am having the time of my life with an amazing equine friend, and that we are taking one day at a time to learn, improve, and enjoy our ride together!
